1Add your website
When you sign up you enter your website address. You can add more websites later from Sites → Add site (how many depends on your plan).
2Install the tracking script
Choose your website platform in the Connect step and follow the instructions. WordPress has a plugin; every other platform is one line of code pasted into your site's header. See Install the tracking script for every platform.
3Check it's working
Click Verify installation. HeyLead loads your homepage and confirms the script is there with the right site key. You can also just open your website. Your visit appears within seconds.
4Send a test lead
- 1Open your website in a new tab, ideally with a test tag on the address:
?utm_source=test&utm_medium=test. - 2Fill in your contact or quote form and send it.
- 3Open Leads in HeyLead. The lead is there with its channel, source and journey.
5Optional: send the source to your CRM
If your forms send leads to a CRM or inbox, add hidden fields so the UTM values travel with each submission. See Send UTM values to your CRM with hidden fields. Or connect a webhook or Zapier.
Tag your ad and email links with UTMs so each campaign gets its own name in reports. Our free UTM builder makes the links for you.
