You connect your website once
Install the WordPress plugin, or paste one line into your website builder's settings. HeyLead checks the connection for you within seconds. You don't need a developer or a tag manager.
- 02
Someone visits your website
They might come from a Google ad, a ChatGPT answer, your newsletter or anywhere else. The link they clicked carries clues: campaign tags (UTM tags), ad click IDs such as gclid and fbclid, and the site they came from.
- 03
HeyLead sorts the visit
The visit goes into one of 11 channels, such as Paid Search, Email or AI Referral. HeyLead remembers how the person first found you, what brought them back and every visit in between, stored on your own domain.
- 04
Your forms are picked up on their own
Contact, quote, booking and demo forms on your site are found automatically, including forms built with React. You don't edit or map anything.
- 05
The lead arrives with its history
When someone sends a form, the lead appears in your dashboard with every visit that led to it. You can also send the source to your CRM with a webhook, Zapier or hidden fields.
Less work
What you don't have to do
Most lead tracking tools leave you with a setup project. With HeyLead, you install it once and get on with your day.
Typical setup elsewhere
- Add hidden fields to every form
- Map each field in your CRM
- Build workflows to copy the source
- Ask a developer to edit theme code
- Re-test whenever a form changes
With HeyLead
- Install a plugin or paste one line
- Forms are found automatically
- Send leads to your CRM with a webhook or Zapier
- New forms are picked up on their own
- The checker tells you it's working
Technical questions
For you, or for your developer
How the HeyLead script behaves on your website, and what happens when things go wrong.
Does the script slow down my website?
No. The script is a few kilobytes, loads in the background from servers around the world, and never holds up your pages or forms.
What if a visitor uses an ad blocker or clears cookies?
HeyLead stores its data on your own domain, which most blockers allow. If a visitor clears their cookies, their next visit starts a new journey, but their lead is still captured.
Does it work across subdomains?
Yes. A visitor who moves between www, blog and shop on the same domain keeps one journey. A separate domain can be added to the same site in its settings.
What happens if HeyLead is down?
Your website and forms keep working as normal. The script stops quietly, so visits during that time aren't recorded, and nothing breaks for your visitors.
