1. The agreement
These terms are an agreement between you (or the business you represent) and HeyLead Attribution ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service you accept them, together with our Privacy policy, Refund and cancellation policy, Payments and billing terms and Data Processing Addendum.
HeyLead is a business service. You must be at least 18 and able to enter into contracts.
2. The service
HeyLead records the marketing source of visits and leads on websites you own or are authorised to manage, and shows them in a dashboard. Features may change over time; we won't remove a core feature from a paid plan without notice.
3. Your account
- Keep your sign-in details secure. You're responsible for activity in your workspace, including by team members you invite.
- Give us accurate information and keep your email address up to date so billing and security notices reach you.
- Tell us straight away at hello@heylead.io if you suspect unauthorised access.
4. Trial, plans and billing
New workspaces start with a 14-day trial for $2.99. Unless you cancel before it ends, the trial continues automatically on the plan you chose, billed monthly or yearly until you cancel.
Payments are processed by Polar as our merchant of record. Prices, plan changes, taxes and failed payments are explained in Payments and billing. Payments are non-refundable except as set out in our Refund and cancellation policy.
5. Plan limits
- Websites: if you have more websites than your plan includes (for example after a downgrade), the extra websites are paused. They keep their data but record nothing new until you upgrade or choose which websites to track.
- Leads: we keep saving leads past your monthly limit and let you know. If a workspace stays at more than twice its limit for two months in a row, new leads stop being saved until it upgrades.
- Team members: you can't invite more people than your plan includes.
6. Your data and your responsibilities
You own the data you and your websites send to HeyLead. You give us permission to process it only to provide and support the service, as described in the Data Processing Addendum.
Because you decide to track visitors on your website, you are responsible for:
- Showing visitors a privacy notice that mentions analytics or attribution tracking, and getting consent where the law requires it (our consent mode helps with this).
- Only installing the script on websites you own or are authorised to manage.
- Not collecting special category data (such as health, religion or financial account details) through forms tracked by HeyLead, and not using it on websites aimed at children.
7. Acceptable use
You must not:
- Use HeyLead for anything unlawful, deceptive or harmful, or to track people in ways your privacy notice doesn't cover.
- Try to access other customers' data, probe or overload the service, or get around plan limits or security.
- Copy, resell or reverse-engineer the service, except where the law allows.
- Send malware, spam or content that infringes someone else's rights through the service.
8. Our intellectual property
HeyLead, its software, design and content belong to us. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service during your subscription. If you send us feedback, we may use it without owing you anything.
9. Availability and support
We work to keep HeyLead available and fast, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we don't offer a service-level agreement on standard plans. Planned maintenance is announced in advance where possible. Support is by email, with replies within one business day.
10. Cancellation, suspension and termination
You can cancel any time from Settings → Billing. Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you've paid for.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts the service or other customers at risk, or isn't paid. Where reasonable we'll warn you first and give you a chance to fix it.
When a subscription ends, tracking stops and your data stays available read-only for 90 days, then it's deleted. Export anything you want to keep during that time.
11. Disclaimers
Attribution is an estimate. Ad blockers, privacy settings, cleared cookies and consent choices mean some visits and sources can't be measured. HeyLead is provided "as is" and, to the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties such as fitness for a particular purpose.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, neither of us is liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, revenue or data, and our total liability under these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
13. Indemnity
You'll cover our reasonable costs if a third party makes a claim against us because of how you used HeyLead on your websites, including tracking without a valid privacy notice or consent.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we'll email account owners at least 30 days before they take effect. If you don't agree, you can cancel before then.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the country where HeyLead is established, and its courts have jurisdiction, unless consumer law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term straight away doesn't mean we've waived it.
16. Contact
Email hello@heylead.io. We reply within one business day.
